Nura
Terms of Service · Last updated 16 July 2026
These terms govern your use of Nura, provided by The Inner Light (Anthony Degnan). By creating an account, you agree to these terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. The Service

Nura is an AI-powered reflective companion, available at app.theinnerlight.co.uk. It is provided by The Inner Light, operated by Anthony Degnan, based in North Yorkshire, United Kingdom.

2. Nura Is Not Professional Care

Nura is not a licensed therapist, counsellor, doctor, or crisis service. Nura does not diagnose, treat, or provide medical or psychological advice. If you are in crisis or at risk of harming yourself or others, please contact emergency services or a crisis line immediately — do not rely on Nura in an emergency.

Nura is intended as a reflective, philosophical companion for general wellbeing exploration. It is not a substitute for professional mental health support, and by using the service you acknowledge and accept this.

3. Accounts

You must be 18 or older to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your login details secure, and for all activity that happens under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@theinnerlight.co.uk.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Plans

Nura offers a free tier (5 messages, one-time) and paid subscription tiers (Premium, Pro, Unlimited), each with a monthly message allowance, billed monthly via Stripe. Additional one-off message credits can also be purchased. Current pricing is shown in the app at the time of purchase.

Billing and renewal

Paid subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Your message allowance resets at the start of each new billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from Account → Manage Plan → Payment methods & history, which opens our secure billing portal provided by Stripe.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancelling stops future renewal, but you'll retain access to your current plan's benefits until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. We do not provide partial refunds for unused time within a billing period, except where required by law or at our discretion.

Your right to cancel under UK consumer law

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel a digital service without charge. Because Nura provides immediate access to digital content upon signup, by subscribing you expressly agree that this content is provided to you immediately and you acknowledge that you thereby lose this 14-day cancellation right once you begin using a paid plan. You may still cancel future renewals at any time as described above.

5. Acceptable Use

Please don't use Nura to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Attachments

If you attach an image or document, you confirm you have the right to share it. Attachments are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate a response and are not permanently stored in our own database beyond a brief note in your conversation history.

7. Intellectual Property

Nura's character, prompt design, branding, and application code belong to The Inner Light. You retain ownership of the content of your own messages and any files you share with Nura.

8. Service Availability

We aim to keep Nura available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Nura depends on third-party infrastructure (including OpenAI, Supabase, Stripe, and Cloudflare) and may occasionally be unavailable due to issues outside our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

Nura is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Inner Light and Anthony Degnan are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including reliance on anything Nura says. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, where such limitation would be unlawful.

10. Ending Your Account

You can delete your account at any time from Account → Danger Zone. This permanently removes your conversations and profile data and cancels any active subscription. We may also suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you directly.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Contact
